The island of Andros

Andros is an excellent destination for those people that don't like to travel too far by boat. It is only 2 hours from the main land. You travel from Pireaus or from Rafina.
As soon as you aproach the island it seems to be a great rockmass, but this is just an illusion, it is an beuatiful island but it can have strong winds. It is ideal for a trip on a motorbike. The island still has some natural spa's with tasty water. For that reason there are enough trees and other vegitation. The most beautiful nature can be found at the eastcoast of the island. The capital has a museum and pitoresk streets. The westcoast has the mainport and the pleasant village Batsi in which there is much to do during the night. Excellent pizza's are served and also the hamburgers aren't bad. Most visitors are English and Greek.
